Losing something, gaining it all.

I've officially been on my own in college for six months, it's insane to me to think that this year is almost coming to a conclusion.
I can't imagine anything but this.
I'm happy here, and I feel more like myself than I ever have in my life.
I stopped worrying about what other people think.
I chose to be happy over anything, and that's when everything changed.
There were times in my life where all I could think about was "if I wear this, what are they going to say?" or, "maybe I shouldn't say anything at all, because I'm sure to sound like an idiot."

WHO CARES.
I've learned more in the last six months about myself than I have in the last six years. I've met some of the most incredible people after I decided to spark a conversation instead of sitting in bed and blending into the sheets. People I couldn't imagine being without.

I've lost a lot, though, too. That comes naturally when you travel over 700 miles away, and I understand that now. We all grow, and like trees our roots spread and thrive where they find they are most alive. I've learned that in order to grow, sometimes you need to let the past be the past. And as much as you would have dropped everything for someone, it's completely worthless if they wouldn't help to pick that everything back up and hand it to you.

Be faithful to yourself and what you believe in.
It's simple.
It makes sense.
We are more beautiful when we are happy, and not worried about the past and the opinions of those who could care less about us.

I can't imagine being anywhere but where I am at this very moment.
I'm happy, and I'm content, and I'm in love with everything that surrounds me no matter how incredible or horrific it may be.

Live and be.
C'est la vie.

Back.

Well well well, look what we have here.
Yes, it's an college blogger here to say that she is dearly sorry for being so MIA lately.

The thing about being a junior in college is that, well, it's kind of hard sometimes?
I know that might be hard to understand, but it is.
All sarcasm aside, I've been completely swamped with classes, and have barely had time to breathe, let alone write.

But I will be trying my best to get back on my blogging game within these next few weeks.
In order to do this, though, I will need your help!
Let me know what you guys would like to see on here, and your wish is my command.

Thank you for understanding.
Missed you lovelies.
Until then,
xo K.

Snowy days in Charlotte.

Never thought I'd see it, but there was finally some snow here in Charlotte, and it was beautiful.
Made it feel just a bit more like home.
So happy.

Cheers to 5,000.

5,000.

That's a really big number.

Especially for me today.

Tonight, I hit over 5,000 page views on this little engine that could, and I couldn't be more thankful.

It may not seem like much to you, but this webpage is my little baby that I am so proud of, and am looking forward to its future.
If I have learned one thing over the past months of writing on here, it's to take each step for what it's worth. This past week was tough, between work, and school, and getting really really horrible hate comments on two of my posts. I contemplated just throwing in the towel and saying "fuck this, it's not worth it" and deleting this page. But then I realized, instead of saying "fuck this", I need to be saying thank you.

Because it's the people who clearly have nothing better to do with their time than to write terrible things on someones webpage, under an anonymous user name, who I will use as my motivation to be a better person.
There is no reason to bring anyone down, regardless of their weight, skin color, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic at all. None. At all. And if you truly feel like it is your job to tell someone that they're not good enough because of something that makes them different, than I suggest you seek profession help and leave the internet as quickly as possible.

Thank you to everyone who follows along, leaves encouraging and constructive comments, and makes me want to post on here as often as I possibly can. I am obsessed beyond words with studying fashion, style, trends, and cosmetics, and love to bring information I learn to you guys.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Here's to 5,000 more,I love you guys.
Until next time, xo

Splurge Purchase!

Splurge Purchase : Dior Addict Gloss
 Dormeuse 363

Dior Dior Addict Gloss 363 Dormeuse 021 OzSo sometimes we all need a little retail therapy, am I right or am I right?
I've had my eye on this for a while, and it may seem  foolish to you, but to me, this is what my little heart desired, and after a week of stressing over midterms, I decided to take my happy ass to Sephora and buy it.

Tonight I caved and purchased the Dior Addict Gloss in 363 Dormeuse, which is a creamy pink lipgloss.
It's a blue toned pink, so it goes really well with my obscenely pale skin.

Here it goes.
It retails for $29.50
I had a $25 gift card.
And $5 on a leftover visa.
So I literally paid $2 for this baby.

I'm in love, and you might think I'm crazy, and I might be.
But hey, we do what makes us happy.

You do meth, I do cosmetics.
We all have our addictions.
No judgement here.

I hope you all have a wonderful night,
and do whatever it is that makes you happy.
Until then,
x K.
