My Easy Everyday Summer Eyes
I'm the first one to say it, I hate getting ready in the summer. I want to be done quick, and not look cakey...especially on my eyes. This look is simple and quick, and looks really gorgeous on any skin tone!
( The picture stinks, I know, it was taken on my Iphone!)
Shadow Steps:
1. Use a little bit of primer or concealer to help prepare your lid for the shadow, as well as evening out your skin tone, and helping the shadows stay on all day.
( Physicians Formula RX concealer in light)
2. Apply a matte light beige all over from lash up through the brow bone to leave a clean palette.
(Urban Decay - Foxy)
3. Swipe a shimmery taupe all over the lid.
( Urban Decay -Suspect)
4. Use a shimmery bronze in the crease, and blend the beige and bronze lightly.
(Urban Decay - Half Baked)
5. To tie it all together, use a white/cream shadow to highlight under the brow, and in the inner corner.
( Urban Decay - Booty Call)
My eyeliner is flicked out a bit at the end, but doesn't reach my inner corner. This helps keep the eyes looking awake, and prevents smudging. I set my liner with Urban Decays Blackout shadow, and mixed a bit of the Falsies and The Rocket mascaras by Maybelline to finish off the look.
And that's it! All the colors I mentioned come in the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette. This palette is literally my baby, I use it every single day, and bring it everywhere. It's the perfect combination of matte and shimmer based neutral shadows.
What makeup do you wear in the summer?
Any at all?
Let me know!
Until then,
-K.
