Opening my stocking is probably my favorite part of Christmas morning.
I love little, thoughtful gifts, that I know I'll use, and Santa always seems to put in just the right necessities!
The thing is, stockings don't have to be just from Santa.
Whenever I'm making up a "giftbag" for one of my friends for Christmas, instead of just using a chintzy bag, I use a stocking. It makes it a big more, you know, holiday-ish.
( I know, I'm creative, call me Martha Stewart.)
For under $50, you can stuff a stocking with gifts for your mom, friend, cousins, and even girlfriends!
Try things like these:
Candy and sweets.
We're girls, we need a little sugar to boost us up. And we love candy. So there's that.
EOS is a huge brand when it comes to lipbalms and skincare.
They offer extremely cute packaging on their products, and the quality of the products are amazing.
-EOS Wedge Pack - Ulta ($4.99)
-EOS LipBalm Holiday 3 Pack - Ulta ($7.99)
Real Techniques Kits
I've talked about real techniques on my blog before, but it's a brand of makeup brushes created by Nicole and Samantha Chapman of Pixi Woo, youtube beauty extraordinaire's.
- The starter kit, and the core collection kits offer 4 different brushes for either the eyes, or the face.
The kits are $17.99, which is an incredible price for four of the highest quality brushes that you can buy in the makeup industry right now.
Kate Spade Phone Cases
Kate Spade is one of my all time
favorite brands.
The designs are always classic, yet still trendy and modern.
Every girl needs a little love on her phone.
The cases range from $35-$50, so if you're looking to add a bigger ticket item to the stocking, definitely check these out.
Cotton On Sunglasses
Anytime I want to wear sunglasses, I instantly grab my "Risky Business" sunglasses from Cotton On.
I can never find a pair of ray-ban-esc sunglasses that fit my face better than these. And in store and online, they are 2 for $10! They're a classic shape, so they'll never go out of style!
My favorite thing to receive on Christmas is perfume. I am a total fragrance junkie, and I love trying different scents. Sephora, Ulta, and Target all offer high end brand fragrances in roller ball sizes, so you can try multiple scents without splurging on a full size bottle.
Try scents like Dot or Daisy by Marc Jacobs, or Light Blue by Dolce and Gabana. ( around $30)
What are you thinking of gifting for Christmas this year?
Have you started your shopping yet, or are you procrastinating like me?
Let me know!
Talk to you soon,
-K.
